Halloween Mini Pies

RECIPE DESCRIPTION:

Ready, set, spook! Whip up our Halloween Mini Pies for National Dessert Day. Choose from Concord Grape, Strawberry, or Mango—each vegan, gluten-free, and USDA organic. Bite into these frightfully delightful treats and make your celebration a scream!

INGREDIENTS:

Dough

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup cold cream cheese, cubed
  • 5 tbsp ice water

Filling

  • Buddy Fruits Organic Fruit (Concord grape, Strawberry, Mango)
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all dough ingredients except water in the food processor and quickly pulse
  2. Slowly add in water until dough comes together
  3. Divide the dough in half & chill in refrigerator
  4. Combine all filling ingredients in a saucepan & simmer until thickened, then set aside to cool
  5. While the filling cools, roll out pie dough onto a pan & cut into festive shapes
  6. Add 1 tbsp of filling to each shape, then top with the other shape & crimp edges with a fork
  7. Brush oil or egg wash over the pies & bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes
  8. Allow to cool and enjoy!
