Cranberry Sauce

RECIPE DESCRIPTION:

It’s not too late to make your Thanksgiving side dish the star of the show! Cranberry sauce is a go-to for the holidays, but this year, why not jazz it up with some fruity additions like tropical mango or sweet strawberry? Free from preservatives, colorings, and artificial flavors, and without added cane sugar, our Organic Fruit Spreads add a touch of wholesome sweetness to your deliciously tart cranberry sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

Cranberry Mango Sauce

  • 2 cups of fresh whole cranberries (or frozen)
  • ½ package Buddy Fruits Organic Mango Fruit Spread
  • 2 handfuls cubed mango
  • 1 dried chili, crushed
  • ½ cup of coconut sugar
  • 1-2 sticks of cinnamon
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • fresh cilantro to garnish

Cranberry Strawberry Sauce

  • 2 cups of fresh whole cranberries (or frozen)
  • 1 package Buddy Fruits Organic Strawberry Fruit Spread
  • 2 handfuls of strawberries, cubed
  • ¾ cup of coconut sugar
  • 1-2 sticks of cinnamon
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • fresh basil to garnish

DIRECTIONS:

Cranberry Mango Sauce

  1. Combine the cranberries, Organic Mango Fruit Spread, cubed mango, diced hot peppers, coconut sugar, cinnamon sticks, and orange juice in a small pot.
  2. Cook over medium high heat until the sauce starts to boil. Cook on high for 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Until cranberries are softened.
  4. Let the sauce cool down. Serve with the freshly chopped cilantro.

Cranberry Strawberry Sauce

  1. Combine the cranberries, Organic Strawberry Fruit Spread, fresh strawberries, coconut sugar, cinnamon sticks, and orange juice in a small pot.
  2. Cook over medium high heat until the sauce starts to boil. Cook on high for 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Until cranberries are softened.
  4. Let the sauce cool down. Serve with the fresh basil.
